Classic Cushion understands that when most consumers make their selection of
outdoor casual furniture it is a very personal decision – one that reflects
not only their lifestyle but the interior of their home as well. For this
reason and as casual furniture choices continue to unfold in the market place
so have Classic Cushions's offerings of replacement cushions.
There are a variety of cushions available to complement tubular or cast aluminum,
wicker, wrought iron, wood, adirondack and resin furniture, each available in hundreds
of fashionable fabrics. All are sewn, tailored and filled with the utmost care and consideration
to detail.
All of Classic Cushion replacement cushions not only meet industry standards – they exceed them.
This is particularly true when it comes to the cushion’s fill or integrity. Most of our cushions
are created and filled with a premium polyester fiber called densified batting, which has undergone
a thermo bond process for consistency. It is this process that produces the loft and crown on the
cushion. It also ensures comfort along with its ability to bounce back time after time. For
those cushions and individuals with firmer seating requirements, their polyurethane foam has been
developed through improved technology. All urethane foams used are non-allergenic, non-toxic,
mildew resistant and odorless. This foam will not shred, crumble or tear and shares three
primary functions when it comes to cushioning – durability, comfort and last, but certainly
not least, support. A combination of the above is used sometimes as well, depending on the
application. When this is required, a high grade of polyester fiber is wrapped around
the foam to once again provide the finished look of perfection.
Classic Cushion assures its customers that special attention is always given to corners – after
all, they provide that classic, clean and crisp look sought by consumers today. Whether it be
square, round, knife, euro or double pleated – each corner of every cushion they produce is stuffed
and/or filled by hand. The perfectly square corner represented on their Box and Welt cushion is but
one shining example of this process and their commitment to detail.
Fabric choices remain, as always, a tremendous attribute of Classic Cushion. There are currently
over 210 different colors, shades, textures, patterns and grades waiting for your selection in their
beautiful sample book.
To promote the cushions life expectancy Classic Cushion continues to be a bit “old fashioned” – their
cushions are reversible (prints allowing). In other words, the entire cushion is covered with the
same quality base cloth and fabric you choose.
More stitches per inch along with a ˝” seam allowance are buzz words at Classic Cushion as they
should be, considering they make outdoor cushions for use in the out-of-doors. By using a high
tenacity bonded polyester thread instead of nylon they help to ward off the sun’s harsh effects
as well as chlorine, both ever present at poolside.
As a finishing touch to each fabric combination and when appropriate, Classic Cushion's replacement
cushions are completed with generous and coordinating fabric ties, each attached securely to hold
your outdoor cushion, bench or seat pad in place. Clear plastic ties are used in some styles.
